CBS Business Affairs EVPs Allison Brightman and Jeeun Kim Expand Roles Into News, Sports and Media
2 min readCBS CEO George Cheeks introduced on Tuesday that Allison Brightman and Jeeun Kim, who currently co-lead Business enterprise Affairs for CBS Entertainment and Studios, are increasing their responsibilities to oversee News and Stations, Athletics, and CBS Media Ventures.
Cheeks laid out their new roles in a memo to staff members, producing. “As executive vice presidents and co-heads of Small business Affairs for CBS, they will supply leadership, strategy, guidance and support to all our outstanding B.A. teams. Brightman was named executive vice president of CBS Television Studios in January 2020 and later on co-head of Business Affairs for Studios and Entertainment with Kim in October 2020. She first joined CBS in 2006 as vice president of Enterprise Affairs and was promoted to senior vice president in 2012, including CBS All Obtain to her portfolio in 2017. Prior to signing up for CBS, she was senior authorized counsel at HBO because 1998.
Kim, who began her job as a law firm at Latham & Watkins in Los Angeles and Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker in New York, was director of Business Affairs (Original Series) for Netflix right until Oct 2020, wherever she led a group of negotiators handling development, manufacturing and license deals for scripted development jobs and collection. Prior to that, she held many senior roles at a variety of divisions at NBCUniversal, including NBC Network, United states of america, Syfy, Universal Cable Productions and Universal Television.
