ENCINITAS, Calif. (KGTV) – San Diego County sheriff’s deputies were being referred to as out to firms in Encinitas and Cardiff-by-the Sea Tuesday night with regards to a team of men and women not donning masks and refusing to depart the stores.
Deputies responded to the Lazy Acres Market on Encinitas Boulevard all-around 6 p.m. Deputies say a group of about a dozen folks have been refusing to don masks and yelling at shop staff members and consumers. Management questioned the team members to leave, but they refused. Deputies had been capable to get the men and women to depart the property.
All-around 7 p.m., deputies ended up referred to as to Seaside Sector on San Elijo Avenue in Cardiff for a different trespassing incident. Deputies say a group of people today refused to wear masks and ended up yelling at keep workers and customers. They have been questioned to depart but refused.
“They opened up some canisters of yogurt, some chips, just began taking in it quite blatantly throughout the retailer with no paying out for it,” Seaside Market Standard Supervisor Austin Davis, stated. “(They were) throwing things about when we asked them not to. All over again, just normally staying disrespectful.”
Deputies were being ultimately ready to get the group customers to leave Seaside Industry.
Davis claims they will do what they can to accommodate buyers devoid of masks.
“We have absolutely free masks available for all those that do not provide them, and for people that are not ready to, we offer accommodations through Instacart or customized browsing,” Davis explained.
“Our staff, our staff members, has been operating terribly difficult to get treatment of our shoppers and our group,” he added. “To have these strangers appear in and openly mock us and overtly mock the persons we are serving for just seeking to serve them it hurt … it damage a large amount.”
The sheriff’s office claims the two retail store proprietors declined to push fees. No arrests or citations have been issued.
