Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett admitted to traders in his annual letter Saturday that a error he built led to an $11 billion loss in 2020, even as quarterly revenue continued to increase.
Buffett wrote that Berkshire experienced to publish down the price of Precision Castparts, a company that will make pieces for aerospace and protection organizations, accounting for nearly all of the loss.

Berkshire acquired the Portland, Oregon-dependent firm in a $37.2 billion offer in 2016.
“I compensated as well a great deal for the enterprise,” the billionaire admitted in his hottest annual letter.
“No one particular misled me in any way – I was simply just as well optimistic about PCC’s normalized earnings possible,” he wrote. “Last 12 months, my miscalculation was laid bare by adverse developments throughout the aerospace business, PCC’s most important resource of prospects.”

Other than the cost, the “Oracle of Omaha” wasn’t regretful about shopping for PCC. He called it “the ideal in its company.” And he extra that he still believes the corporation will, in time, “earn good returns.”

Stock sector gains pushed the company’s internet profits up by about 23% to $35.84 billion.
