O.J. Simpson’s defamation lawsuit versus Vegas hotel is ‘resolved,’ attorney suggests

O.J. Simpson reportedly settled his defamation go well with against The Cosmopolitan lodge of Las Vegas.

The two sides agreed to dismiss the lawsuit with prejudice, TMZ Sports activities documented Wednesday. Simpson’s lawyer Malcolm LaVergne told the website the “matter has been fixed.”

Simpson filed a lawsuit against the hotel around currently being kicked off the assets following an alleged drunken incident at a lodge bar in November 2017, in accordance to TMZ Sports activities. Hotel workers explained to the website the former NFL star received offended with workers and the incident resulted in broken glass. He would file the suit in 2019 alleging hotel staff defamed him.

The hotel dismissed Simpson’s argument that his status experienced been harmed due to the fact his status had now been tarnished, attorneys for the residence informed a Nevada judge in 2020.

The hotel cited Simpson’s prison and civil trials in the 1994 fatalities of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her good friend Ron Goldman in Los Angeles and his conviction and imprisonment in Nevada over his 2007 armed theft situation.

Simpson’s attorney labeled the argument “immoral” at the time.
