Ellen Kirton, longtime director of the Pima Community University Compact Company Development Center, died Sunday after problems from an illness.
After a very long profession in banking, Kirton turned director of the Pima County SBDC in 2012.
The SBDC joined Pima Group College’s Workforce Development Division in 2016.
“Through her perform aiding and inspiring business owners in starting up, expanding and increasing their small companies, Ellen established a lasting economic impact for foreseeable future generations,” Pima Local community College Chancellor Lee Lambert and other Pima officers explained in a news launch.
