Rupee falls 34 paise to 74.20 versus US greenback in early trade

The Indian rupee slumped 34 paise to 74.20 versus the US dollar in opening trade on Monday monitoring the strengthening of the American forex and a muted trend in domestic equities.


Forex trading traders mentioned mounting crude oil prices also weighed on investor sentiment.







At the interbank foreign trade, the rupee opened reduced at 74.20 in opposition to the greenback, registering a slide of 34 paise in excess of its previous near.


On Friday, the rupee experienced settled at 73.86 versus the US greenback.


The Rupee started out on a weak be aware this morning versus the dollar as traders ongoing to digest the US Federal Reserve’s hawkish outlook on prices, Reliance Securities reported in a exploration note.
