Sebi appoints forensic auditor to vet money statements of Suzlon Electricity

Suzlon Power on Tuesday claimed industry regulator Sebi has appointed forensic auditor to have out forensic audit of its economical statements.


“The firm is in receipt of a letter from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) dated March 22, 2021, informing the enterprise that it (Sebi) has appointed the forensic auditor to carry out forensic audit with respect to the fiscal statements of the company,” it mentioned in a regulatory submitting.





Sebi has mentioned in its letter that this appointment is in the context of disclosures of financial data and enterprise transactions and if there are any violations of the relevant provisions of the SEBI Act or the Securities Contracts (Polices) Act, 1956, and the Organizations Act, 2013 or other applicable legislation, it added.


Suzlon Energy also mentioned in the filing that it “currently being global company, getting potent interior controls and an effective audit program believes that the enterprise has been and is compliant with the relevant laws and laws.”
