TWU taps NY college leader as University of Business dean – News & Activities

April 12, 2021 — DENTON — Texas Woman’s University has chosen Rama Yelkur, a longtime school chief, professor, completed promoting and intercontinental business expert and board member — with a potent history in prolonged-array planning, neighborhood outreach and fundraising — to head the Faculty of Company. She begins her responsibilities as dean on June 1.

Yelkur has served as dean at two other institutions, most not too long ago in the School of Organization at St. John Fisher College in New York. Prior to that, she was dean of the Carmona Faculty of Business enterprise and Management at Saginaw Valley Condition College in Michigan.

She has served as director of the Stevens Centre for Household Business at Saginaw Valley State, and as director of International Company Applications at the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire. Yelkur was also an assistant professor of marketing and advertising at Texas A&M Global University in Laredo.

As business university dean at two institutions, Yelkur constructed a reputation as a stable fundraiser, like basis and grant funding. She carried out outreach and engagement with firms, like with relatives-owned enterprises formulated progressive undergraduate and graduate systems expanded on-line choices diversified and expanded dean’s advisory boards and served on community, foundation and non-earnings boards.

She is usually interviewed by nationwide television news networks, such as CNBC, CNN and FOX.

Yelkur is a graduate of the Administration in Management Training system from the Harvard Graduate University of Education and learning. She been given her Doctorate in Organization Administration from Mississippi Condition College with a specialization in Internet marketing, her MBA from PSG School of Know-how and her BSc. in Mathematics from Ethiraj University for Ladies in India.

Yelkur will be successful existing College of Business enterprise Dean James Lumpkin, who is retiring May perhaps 31.
